Insurance Operations Manager

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000.00

As an Operations Manager, you will be required to aid in ensuring effective and sustainable operational processes.

Job Description

• Responsible for effective policy administration including monitoring SLA’s and providing reports on KPI’s / metrics regular
• Effectively managing Operations Technicians, including managing workload, ensuring adherence to SLA’s and accuracy levels, and setting objectives / supporting the development of the team
• Helping to assist with policy and claims administration tasks to ensure high service delivery standards, liaising with UW and key brokers and ensure the service meets expectations
• Responsible for the bordereaux production process and liaison with external carriers and brokers with regards to reporting and payments
• Co-ordinate binder management and other non-underwriting tasks such as quarterly market reporting
• Identify and lead on process improvements to drive cost efficiency
• Responsibility for data quality, running exceptions reports and driving accuracy across the business unit
• Be the SME (subject matter expert) on Miami business processes and coordinator for London Market training and audits
• Finding proactive approaches to ensure regulatory, tax, corporate and compliance requirements are met
• Liaising with the credit control and MI teams to ensure data corrections and correct websure data entry
• Support the Head of Operations in drafting board reports and providing data for key meetings

Desirable:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the insurance industry
• Experience working with or within an MGA
• Strong understanding of financial processes, particularly credit control
• Proven track record of problem solving and driving efficiency within a business
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent in English, and preferably Spanish as well
• Experience of line management and driving the performance of a team
