Business Intelligence Analyst

Join one our global leading firms providing insurance services and products. As a Business Analyst, you will aid the firm in its end to end user journeys and processes to be able to accurately and efficiently elicit, challenge, and document requirements, processes and scope.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Product Manager to ensure that any user story is detailed, thorough and ready for development, owning the story from conception to final delivery of value.
  • Aid stakeholders in understanding trade-offs and achieving consensus.
  • Ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture principles as well as any design principles and strategy decisions made within your product team or the platform ensuring guidance is sought if necessary.
  • Proactively monitor and communicate industry, functional, and technology trends to stakeholders as well a coach them as to how best harness these to drive business value.
  • Ensure that all relevant staff receive clear and frequent updates regarding business analytical tasks and progress as necessary.
  • Work with business stakeholders to develop and prototype Power BI dashboards.
  •  Work with your team-mates to mentor and share your business analysis expertise and in turn learn from them technical skills that will further enhance the service we provide to the business.
  •  Participate in and contribute to Agile meetings throughout each development cycle
  • Work closely with key stakeholders across the organisation to understand the data requirements and translate these in to value-adding data solutions
  •  Ensure all requirements are fully documented as user-stories and proactively ensure that the wider team fully understands what is needed and can be translated into build activities.

Desirable:

  • At least three years working with different business areas within the Lloyd’s market
  • Data savvy and experience working with complex data sets
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Ability to extract data across databases, cloud storages, and separate files filled with unstructured data
  • Excellent technical analysis skills and confident in working directly with a variety of business stakeholders at different levels in the organisation – from operations assistants through to executives.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Power BI reporting, and Excel modeling
  • Experience of working on a large-scale project/programme implementing software and process solutions
