The Role

As a Retirement Actuarial Consultant at the Global Insurance Consultancy you will play a critical role in helping our clients navigate the complex world of retirement planning and pension management. You will supply expert actuarial consulting services to a diverse portfolio of clients, helping them make informed decisions about their retirement and pension programs.

The key aspects of the role will include:

 

Actuarial Analysis

  • Conduct complex actuarial calculations and analyses to assess the financial health of retirement plans.

Compliance and Regulatory Expertise

  • Stay up to date with retirement plan regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure that client plans adhere to all relevant laws and regulations.

Risk Management

  • Identify and evaluate risks associated with retirement plans and recommend strategies to mitigate these risks.

Plan Design and Strategy

  • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement retirement plan design strategies that align with their business aims.
  • Evaluate the impact of plan design changes on financial outcomes and employee benefits.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and support client relationships by understanding their unique needs and aims.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and proactively address their retirement and pension-related concerns.

Communication and Education

  • Effectively communicate complex actuarial concepts to clients, both in writing and verbally.
  • Supply education and training to clients and their employees on retirement plan matters.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with other consultants, analysts, and support staff to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.

 

The Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proven experience as an actuarial consultant with a focus on retirement and pension consulting to UK pension schemes.
  • Ability in actuarial software and modelling tools.
  • All-inclusive analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple client relationships.
