Senior Marketing & Communications Manager – Utilities sector

A fantastic opportunity has come up for a growing Utilities company, they are looking for a highly skilled Senior Marketing & Communications Manager to join them on a full-time basis.

Location: Manchester (hybrid working 3/2)

Salary: up to £65,000 + bonus & benefits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Marketing & Communications strategy.
  • Deliver strategic, integrated campaigns across marketing and media channels.
  • Evolve and manage the brand and develop messaging tailored to relevant audiences.
  • Update the website and internal intranet page to reflect updated brand and messaging.
  • Working closely with stakeholders across the business such as our Sales team, Customer Comms Manager and others to develop internal and external documentation and materials
  • Bring ideas which build understanding of our audiences and help generate new sales leads
  • Proactively identify and develop stories and ideas which align with the company’s objectives to share with selected media channels on key company wins, events or otherwise
  • Monitor relevant media articles, competitor activity and social media posts to inform communications strategy
  • Support People team in building employer brand and internal communications.
  • Develop KPI reporting pack to feed into the board packs

Key skills required:

  • Experienced and entrepreneurial marketing or communications manager with a proven track record of delivering strategic campaigns across marketing and media channels
  • Proven track record of developing strategy, brand building and supporting commercial objectives
  • Knowledge and experience within the Energy Industry or within a fast-growing company.
  • Ability to identify, manage and work together with relevant suppliers
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Understanding of Digital Marketing tools
  • Experience in developing brand guidelines 
  • Ability to build strong relationships to work with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficient with Word and PowerPoint
